Leslie,

I have had a few males with this type of cancer, personally I would opt to have the urostomy done, I wish I had done this for my boys. IMO he would have a better chance of survival as long as he in good health.

My friend and I have both had surgery to remove these types of lumps and the cancer came back with a vengence.

My cat had had the urostomy done when he was 7yrs old because of repeated blocking, he lived to be 20yrs old after the surgery was done.
