Hi Dr Murray,

I have a occurrence and question. Correct me if I'm wrong, but recently there was a Ferret Shelter in WA who had a distemper ferret come in. The shelter director from what I remember reading had the current residents vaccinated with Purevax way before the infected ferret arrived.

Now, WHY did most of the ferrets (or by now all  who were still in the rescue) who were vaccinated with Purevax contract the virus if it's supposed to be so affective? The situation had been the same with Fervac D, when it was still around. In most situations like these where canine distemper was present in the public, it was Galaxy D that prevailed in protecting the ferrets better.
