Yes, there is one line which is used for medications that are not in high demand and they alternate the production runs, sometimes with long periods between when a single med is made. Believe it or not, that is to keep costs more affordable. When such a med has higher demands they lengthen the runs for that med. I know that in one bad year for a major horse disease the Purevax production got delayed for that reason. Honestly, I don't see any way that can be changed except to urge pre-ordering by those veterinarians who can afford to do so. Then there would be longer runs to meet the demand for the pre-orders, and the vets would have the med on hand when needed.
