A vet visit is a good idea, but in a relatively young ferret like yours, if there are not any other known health issues, then the kind of diarrhea that you describe can be caused by any number of things, most a lot less disturbing than the ECE or lymphoma that you mention. Stress is one common thing that can mess up stools for a short or long period of time, as can ingesting something that shouldn't have been ingested. A change in food or treats can even do this. A partial blockage from a foreign object or from a hair wad can also cause diarrhea and poor digestion.

I would recommend the vet visit, but in the meantime you can try some pepcid or some probiotics to see if they give some relief. For a long time I've used Pepcid AC tablets, whose only active ingredient is famotidine, which is safe for ferrets. I dissolve one 10-mg Pepcid AC tablet in 4.0 ml of water, store it in the fridge, and give 0.3 - 0.5 ml of this liquid for upset tummies as needed, depending on the size of the ferret. It always seems to help at least a little, if not a lot.
