Yes a temperature of 65 or 70 F is very good but ferrets don't get uncomfortable until its above 80 F.  I don't remember if she said she had AC or not.  If not it is possible that the temperature in the cages got hotter but it would have to get a lot warmer than 75 F in the cages and I just don't think this was the case.  I can't say that for sure because, I don't know the set up of her house nor the air flow dynamics to determine if there could be hot zones (areas that get a lot hotter than other areas).

We have had ferrets for 4 years and for the last two we have had central air, be for then I had run a dedicated electric wire to the ferret room (I put the plug 3 feet off the floor) for a window air conditioner in our ferret room.  We keep our house at 75 F through the summer and 72 in the winter.  Our ferrets have had no problems with that temperature.

[A great deal depends on air humidity. In a coastal region, where I live, 75F is extremely uncomfortable because it is a humid environment. A/C reduces humidity. - Moderator (TD)]
