hi, i don't post much . but i do want everyone to know that necropsy's can be done on one that has been on ice or frozen, i know this sadly enough from losing my baby's and wanting to know and understand what had happened. we went to the university of Ky (in Lexington) is it best to do right away ? of course, but not in all cases are we able to do so, just wanted to share this to those of you who do want to know what happened, never a good thing either way, but it does sometimes give you knowledge.  vickie and my baby's

[Many labs won't accept pathology samples if taken from frozen remains, because the cellular composition changes with freezing. Best to check with your vet whether the lab he uses will accept them. A lot depends on how long the remains were frozen for and at what temperature. - Moderator (TD)]
