Subject: [ferrethealth] Re: HELP! Two ferrets died in sleep
To: ferrethealth@yahoogroups.com

Thanks for all your replies. I am trying to get a hold of this mom to
try figure things out & protect the other two.
Re temperature. My home is not air conditioned but it is 100% shaded
so I can cool it off at night & it usually stays below 85deg. I do
have a window ac in the ferret room so if that room gets to 80deg, I
turn it on. In all these years, I've never had a problem related to
heat so I think the comment about them becoming slowly acclimated is
right on. These ferrets were, therefore, used to higher than normal
(for ferrets) but I'll check to make sure she's checked that section
of the room.
I'll check on the other items, location of stove vent, garage, carpet
cleaning, etc.
Again, thank you all.
