Subject: [ferrethealth] Vets can't figure out whats wrong
To: ferrethealth@yahoogroups.com

Around the 1st of July I noticed one of my ferrets was tilting his head to the Right. He is blind in his left eye. (Has been for 2 years) I took him to the vet and they had no clue what was going on. His ears were clean and not red. About a week late around the 10th I was clipping nails and noticed he had a small lump on the side of his neck so back to the vet we went. They did blood work and it all came out normal. So they gave him some antibiotics. He took them for 7 days with no affect. Today when I took him out for play time I noticed he is not using his front left paw. As for the lump it has grown and is now covering the whole front of his neck. 2 weeks ago he was fine and now he is going down hill. He has no insulinoma. And as far as the vet can tell there is no lymphoma no liver or kidney disease. I am at a loss/ I dont know what to do to help him. I have spent all my emergancy vet money on him, Annabelle and kera in the last month and a half. As you all will remember I lost Annabelle a little over 2 weeks ago and 2 weeks before that I lost Kera. If anyone could help me figure out what is going on with him so I can get the treatment he needs it would be wonderful. I can get the money to take him back to the vet that is not an issue but they cant seem to figure out whats wrong.
