ADV is all over the place so don't assume about the origin if it is ADV. People just don't test for it very often so they then incorrectly think it does not exist locally. Through the years statements like that have been made repeatedly for many places which have ADV. As Danee DeVore so often reminds people, "If you don't test, you don't know." In this case it may also be "Because others did not test, you don't know."
