jeff,

did the vet actually test to see what type of bacteria is present?? if not, then the amoxi may not be the right med to treat whatever is there.

it's a broad-spectrum med, so, you will see some improvement during treatment. since the flare-up was almost immediate after the course was done, it seems like you need a more specific antibiotic - one that's targeted to the specific organism that's present.

ibd can also be at play. have you modified the diet by removing chicken-based food?
