No, the test was not done, but I think that the bacteria culture will probably be the next step. Dozer has had these flare ups every 6 months or so for a few years now, and amoxicillin has always cleared them up. It initially cleared it up this time as well, but the bacteria problem came right back shortly after completion of the amoxicillin. So, it probably is time to get a culture and see if there’s a better antibiotic to try. I have a call in for one of my vets to give me a call tomorrow.
