Subject: [ferrethealth] Brewers yeast 1/4 teaspoon on food

Does anyone know why the vet said to do this? She also said to give Meeko hard boiled eggs,cottage cheese,plain greek yogurt,or cooked chicken as treats 2x a day.I thought ferrets weren`t suppose to have dairy...am I wrong? Thanks, Julie
[Our original vet occasionally has us give ferrets with tummy troubles a teaspoon of plain yogurt as a probiotic. Fortunately most thought it was a yummy treat. --Moderator (CMM)]
