I mostly lurk now, but wanted to give my 2 cents on this. I gave my 3 ferrets brewers yeast, 2 were adrenal and one had insulinoma and also got adrenal at the end of her life. Brewers yeast has vitamins from the B complex so it helps with fatigue, stress and anemia. I noticed that they had a lot more energy after starting with the brewers yeast. It was quite beneficial for mine.
Perhaps if you ask the vet why is he recommending it he can tell you if he has noticed anything in particular on your baby that the brewers yeast can help with.
