Monkey woke today and actually got up to play a bit and was very vocal too.  Good sign.  The poops in the cage were looking better too so I'm assuming he's recovering from what bug he has.  Just wish I new WHAT it was.  None of our other 4 were affected either and they all eat the same, etc.

I'm so glad he seems better today! : )  I will finish the twice a day flagyll and hope he continues to get better.  Thanks everyone for their input.  It's such a comfort to be able to discuss things with fellow ferret lovers!

Have you done a fecal to check for giardia, coccidia or other parasites?  Yes the bigger worms are rare in ferrets but you should rule out the little bugs.

Grey feces in dogs and cats can be a sign of pancreatic problems.

Have you thoroughly checked for any possible "dietary indiscretion"?
