Subject: [ferrethealth] Pepto and pepcid - artificially sweetened now?
To: FHL posting <ferrethealth@yahoogroups.com>

One of my boys has had helicobacter issues and I'm facing what looks to be yet another round of treatment. He didn't get pepto or pepcid last time because I realized they're artificially sweetened. Pepcid, even for kids, contains sugar alcohol (causes gas, bloating, abdominal pain and diarrhea in some humans... Me included), so what can we do in this case? Drove everywhere and all are the same, even generics. :(

[Our vet has us cut generic Pepcid tablets into eighths. I grind up the bitty piece and put it in Zephyr's gravy. No sugar that way. --Moderator (CMM)]
