When medical treatment options fail the best remaining approach for
insulinoma is surgery. Six of my ferrets have had insulinoma surgery
over the years with good results in all cases, including two cures.
The good news here is that insulinoma and adrenal can both be dealt
with in one surgery. I've had two have that surgery, again with good
results. Chin Soon had both done together in April, 2009. She was
five and a half then and is eight years old now. She thinks she's
still a kit and is doing brilliantly. In your place I would discuss
surgery with Fisher's vet.
The usual disclaimer applies: I am not a vet, just a moderately
experienced ferret owner who has been where you are now.
All the best,
Caity and the dyanmic duo
