Actually anything in the air will get to the
ferrets either new or existing no matter
what. Airborne contaminants would require an
entirely separate air system, this is why small
shelters have issues with canine distemper
outbreaks. If it is airborne there is no way to isolate!


so in this respect there is really no difference
other than isolating litter boxes and exposure to feces...
