Grief may very well be a significant contributing factor to consider. Being in a strange environment, i.e., the clinic, may have compounded her grief. Being home with you will no doubt help.

I have had ferrets whose grief was inconsolable and they continued to plummet in spite of treatment, TLC, etc.

Your initial intuition was to get a companion to help with grief. It may be that she is experiencing inconsolable grief. Sometimes these furkids can be turned around, but not always. They essentially die of a 'broken heart.'

All you can do is to continue to show her love, and give her doses of extra TLC, and hope she turns around, that is, IF her inability to regain her appetite, etc. is related to grieving the loss of her beloved companion : (
