Best to leave it until at least 6 months.

Best practice recommended in the UK now is to use the deslorelin implant instead but that does have a financial impact as it will need redoing every 18 months or so.

A compromise is to use the implant first then spay after 18 months / 2 years. This gives the ferret a chance to mature and reduces the risk of adrenal.

The fact that she wasn't spayed as a kit has already increased her chances of developing adrenal.
