Subject: [ferrethealth] Introducing new ferret to grieving ferret
To: ferrethealth@yahoogroups.com

I know grieving is VERY common with ferrets. I usually recommend that
ferants have a business of three or four rather than a pair. That way when
one passes, they each have a shoulder to cry on and it's not nearly
as traumatic. A new kid can then be introduced when the time seems right &
the right one comes along. I do agree with the moderator that it seems to
be at least as much personality & chemistry between ferrets rather than age.
