I have heard from Dr. Nico Schoemaker, who probably has studied the question of chemical castration with deslorelin more deeply than anyone else. He said in a reply that I shared with the moderators that there is no reason to expect a decrease in malignancies from using this approach. In fact,the hope is that reduced rates of adrenal disease may lead to a net lower rate of malignancies since some adrenal tumors become malignant but it will be about another five years till that study is done.
