Go with Prednisolone. If your vet does not carry it then a script for it canbe written.

The liver has to convert Prednisone into Prednisolone before the body can use it. Giving Prednisolone lets that step be skipped, and if the liver is at all not up to snuff then the Prednisone will not provide the level of control that it otherwise might.

Plus, Prednisolone is liquid so the dose can be better controlled.

Some like to give the more concentrated forms so they can give smaller doses but we tend to prefer the one mg per ml concentration which is less bitter.
