Chiclet swung back and forth a lot with DIM/Myofasciitis all through the illness though her trend was in getting much worse over time. Yet, she had good days and early on some were very good days. Since no one knew then what it was in her case given she was one of the early ones treated we'd think each time that the solution had been found. The best approaches were found much afterward. Danee has the info on that score for her vet.

Meningitis was also among the things that people found could be confused (short term) with DIM back then. Ditto JL, and for a while some people were calling almost anything that with some claiming miracle cures but when some of those ferret were tested they never had DIM and many other of those never were tested.

Meningitis can be treatable, BTW, and that person and her vet were really good about checking alternatives so even though DIM was among the things considered it later was dropped from the list of possible causes, and the JL cases tended to wind up showing what they were, too, or the vets did chest x-rays and found the thymus enlarged which is indicative of JL.
