Hi Susan
Your low glucose levels with a human glucose machine is
not surprising. A recent study comparing 2 human glucose
machines, alpha trak set to the dog code, and alpha trak set to
the cat code to a commercial lab (Antech) had the same problem.
The 2 human machines were almost always lower than the actual
glucose level. The only machine that was very close to the actual level
was the alpha trak set to the dog code.
I would suggest buying an alpha trak machine and using code 7 for ferrets.
