Deb, I use a new lancet every time I prick regardless of whether I
actually get any blood out that hole or not. I don't use the clicker that
came with the Freestyle lite...I bought one at walgreens that is about the
size of a pen. You insert the lancet and it is very easy to line up on a
tiny toe to hit right in the middle (most of the time). I used to have
another meter years ago but I could hardly get enough blood out of my own
finger to gain results from a test let alone get enough from a ferret pad.
I am going to research how much blood the Alpha Trak requires (the Doc
Murray prescribed previously) and consider getting that one...but then
again, I have a pretty good idea now that mine is always 20-30 points low so
I might just hang with the Freestyle lite until it gives out. Thanks so
much for all the great info this list provides!
