Subject: [ferrethealth] Frankie Has a Lump

Hi,
Last night, I noticed that my 2-year-old ferret Frankie has a
hard semi-flat lump on his ribcage near his left elbow. Any idea
what it could be? Could it be the beginnings of lymphoma?

[It could be any number of things including an insect bite, injury, skin disorder or neoplasm, etc. It is impossible to even begin to guess without a more detailed description i.e., size, does it move freely or appears to be coming from deep inside, etc. Best to get him to your vet for an evaluation and probable diagnostics i.e., x-rays, biopsies, etc. - Moderator (TD)].
