Hi, Jovonna, and everyone else,

Removing part of the pancreas is the surgery that is normally done for insulinoma. All surgeries have risks but a skilled surgeon who has experience with ferrets should be able to do this with a high rate of success. Both of my current ferrets have had this surgery and four more I've had over the years have had it done as well. All six came through it well.

The hind end weakness Brother Bear is having is a classic insulinoma symptom. I know you said his blood glucose is normal so that shouldn't be the cause but suddenly I'm wondering about that again.

I'll keep you and Brother Bear in my thoughts.

All the best,
Caity and the dynamic duo
