Thank you Tressie yes it does sound more like the osteoma, which I just Googled. His lump they believe is bone growing on bone, and according to the book, a benign tumor. The xray confirmed that. I am just always hoping it's something else I can get rid of. I do remember Fatty and even thought about him, but because he had surgery and a helmet I didn't think it could be the same. My vet felt that because it was bone growing on bone, it was NOT a good idea to do surgery, since it is on his head. There are no outward signs of this tumor other than you can see where his hair is raided up because of the "pea" sized lump, but it is all under the skin, he looks as beautiful as ever. Also, if he had an allergic reaction which caused his head swelling, that would be the "trauma" that the article I read can prompt this type of tumor.
