Subject: [ferrethealth] New Advantage formulation
To: <ferrethealth@yahoogroups.com>

I've been using Advantage for flea control for years, with never any issues.

When I went to get some recently, the package was labeled "Advantage 2".

So I went and did some research and found that the primary active
ingredient, Imidacloprid, hasn't changed, and is in the same proportion as always, they've added a new ingredient, Pyriproxyfen to the mix at 0.46%, according to the label.

I want to know if the product is still safe for ferrets. Does anyone know about the safety of Pyriproxyfen applied topically on ferrets?

Thanks,

Kevin Farlee
