Betty,
My cat has the same problem. I took Travis to my vet a year ago. When she saw his lips she asked if I was using plasic bowls for his food and water. She suggested using metal or crock bowls as plastic harbors so many bacterias even when washed as plastic is porous. She gave him a shot of Batryle which worked the first time. He is constanly on antibiotic as his lips keep flaring up. I would also like to know if anyone has suggestions on how to handle this.
