Yeah, I've seen that too. I wonder if it's related to muscle wasting
in elderly and/or sick ferrets. So things tighten up more on the top
side of the tail than the bottom side, which pulls the tail into that
characteristic curve.

Just pondering, I don't have anything to back this up.
