Subject: [ferrethealth] Re: How young for DES implant
To: <ferrethealth@yahoogroups.com>

While on the subject of Des implants and implanting a male, I have a question. I have 2 boys that I opted to “chemically castrate” with the implants. Question is how often should it be done? How old before you start using it for castration? and is it healthier for the ferret to physically neuter or chemically castrate? Can younger boys be done just over one year old? or should I wait a bit longer for neutering?
