I am very sorry about Morphy, Jeff.
I also had an experience with a bile duct blockage. In addition to the
symptoms Jeff mentioned, my Jessie's stools turned a strange light tan
color. She was diagnosed by ultrasound as well. None of our vets would
consider attempting surgery on her, but they did treat with Ursidiol in
addition to bupronex for pain and Amoxi. Over a long period of treatment,
she did recover and lived to a ripe old age of 10. She remained on the
Ursidiol as a preventative for a couple years after the diagnosis. Sorry
about the medication misspellings.
