Subject: Re: [ferrethealth] Dental clean for ferrets
To: ferrethealth@yahoogroups.com

H i everybody....

I wanted give my 2 cents here.....I have 5 ferrets, 1 is 6 years, 1 is 4.5 and the others 3 are are almost 2.  I have always fed a commercial raw diet twice a day (Nature's Variety Instinct) and a grain free kibble.  All of my kids teeth are in great shape and I see no discoloration from food at all. I have also made a habit of adding roasted, organic eggshell that is pulverized to their wet food to add calcium.

Wondering if this has acted as a sort of pumice on their teeth as they chew through the food? SO far, I have not had any ferret needing dental cleaning thankfully!
