I feed a mix of high protein kibbles. Several years ago I noticed my ferrets teeth being quite a bit cleaner than usual. Through trial and error I found the Natural Balance kibble I use in my mix was what was helping. I now make sure I include this at all times. I recently acquired two older rescue ferrets with tarter buidup, within several weeks their teeth look great. I swear by it if you only feed a kibble diet.
