Just an addendum. I know that a number of people know about biotin deficiency from raw egg whites, but to learn about thiamine deficiency from raw eggs as well just go to page 168 of _Biology and Diseases of the Ferret, 2nd ed._. Too much of the wrong fish is a more common cause, but raw egg also can do it per the second sentence in the first paragraph on Thiamine deficiency. Aren't veterinary texts wonderful?

That is a divergence, thoughÂ… The main subject is avoiding poisoning incidents.
