Unless the formulation has changed, the earlier clinical trials were done using 4.7mg implants, and they lasted anywhere from 8 months to 2 years. In my experience, of the 10 I've had implanted, they last on average 14-16 months before clinical symptoms start appearing again.

The 9.4 des implants are good for one year but we are talking big bucks. Price would be between $150 - $200 per 9.4mg implant and the 4.7 mg a little cheaper. If the 4.7 implant is only good for 6 months, wouldn't I be better off getting the 9.4 mg implant and how safe is it to use on ferrets opossed to the 4.7mg implant???( the cost includes putting it in) Anyone? I want to order asap as I need 6-7 of them and have to come up with the $$ before she orders them from Austrailia. The vet tech is also checking in with Peptec to see if they are available now.
