Subject: [ferrethealth] Pred's Ineffective (was) Re: Calcification of the Vertebral Colum
To: ferrethealth@yahoogroups.com

Don't give up on Lillie! She will be in our prayers. I had a ferret survive an attack by an airdale that threw him up against the ceiling breaking his spine, cracked ribs, punctered lungs etc. He wouldn't eat, but loved whip cream from a spray can. That was the only thing he could manage to lick off my finger. I think the closeness of that motivated him. Since then I've given my ferrets organic baby food
(high protein ones) since they were little to lick off my finger & as a treat so that I can use it to put meds in when needed.

My vet had given me some natural oils to put behind his ear for pain. I don't remember what. i agree with others to get something for pain control too!

Sending healing thoughts & prayers to Lilie,

Holly & (Stewie)
