I just got off the phone with the vet and gave her all the information you supportive folks have provided. We are going to keep an eye on his heart rate over the weekend and give him time to respond to the small changes I have made. She is open to trying most anything, but with all things there is a risk, which we all know too well. If Odie seems to be worsening, we will try some of these and I will update you on his progress.
As someone who sat up with him most of 3 days waiting for him to take his last breath, I am actually hopeful that we may be able to improve his quality of life for a bit longer.
