Colitis or coccidia are common causes. We've used Carafate and pepto to help with the bleeding till we can get to the vet. Pet Pectillin is the same as what the old Kaopectate was and has worked well if you have it available. I order mine from Omaha vaccine but you could find it in pet stores. The newer kao is the same as pepto. In a pinch pepto has worked well for us though some are hesitant to use it. It sounds like an antibiotic and something to coat would be needed. As Sukie mentioned, coccidia doesn't show up in every stool sample so even a negative sample doesn't mean it isn't coccidia. Slippery elm bark might be helpful for coating. With bleeding like that we also give a vit b and k injection.
