Naobi is still walking in circles and she's spiking a slight temp, 103.3.. sometimes she wakes up panting and I can tell she's gotten a little too warm in her blankets. I keep pushing fluids, food and giving her subq fluids 2-3 times a day. Even when she wakes up panting her temp seems to go no higher than 103-103.5, her nose gets bright red but no vomitting/lethargy or any other symptoms.

My normal vet is going to be out of town so first thing tomarrow morning I'm taking her to the other vet I use to ask about different antibiotics. I've also noticed sometimes when shes going to sleep that she puts both paws at the back of her head just behind her ears and holds them there like maybe her head hurts? Maybe the constant low grade fever is giving her a headache? I do unfortunately suspect that she's blind or can see very little. Her pupils do not seem to react to light nor does she react if I put my finger close to her eye. I think maybe her sense of taste/smell has been effected too, she will eat if I put the food in her mouth but she won't seek it out herself. She's always loved ferretone also and doesnt react if I hold the bottle hear her nose.

Thanks!
Amanda

[Have you discussed with your vet about consulting with the ferret expert who has offered to help? I would agree that it sounds like the current antibiotics are not effective. Is she on pain medication for pain? Steroids for inflammation?

I removed your email address from the post, I would suggest emailing it to someone privately if you wish to share it. We don't normally post a person's private email address for security and privacy reasons. - Moderator (TD)].
