I always thought that ferret's pupils do not get smaller like our do inlight and are fixed in a wide open position in order to see at dusk/night time.
Anyone else have different information? All of my 5 have eyes that reflect the red retina when I have had to search with a flashlight for them.
[Their pupils do dilate and constrict with light and are horizontally placed as opposed to vertically like a cat's. However, in conditions like retinal atrophy (common in older ferrets) the pupils do become fixed and no longer respond to light. - Moderator (TD)].
