I have had success with diazoxide the two times I've used it. One ferret got an additional five months on it after the pred could no longer control her symptoms, and the other ferret got about three months with it. The second ferret's insulinoma was more severe, at least in its symptoms. I'm looking at needing it again in the relatively near future, and I won't hesitate to try it given my past experience, even with its high cost.
