Hey Everyone...Update on Meeko ,He`s doing extremely well...he even took some chicken baby food, which for him to eat anything but what he was raised on is nothing short of a miracle! However, this morning I believe I made a mistake and put way to much baby food in his soupie....figuring he now recognizes it as food. The little stinker took one lick, looked at me and turned his head away like a stubborn little child! He also tried to get away from me,he still has alt of upper body strength...it`s the back end that is a problem because he has blossomed...as the vet calls it(fluid build up etc.)The good news is he would not have put up a fight a month ago...now he is.My question is this...did I screw up by adding too much chicken to fast? Actually I do not believe this is the issue, reason being I remixed the food to what is was yesterday and still Meeko refused to eat except for a lick here and there.Maybe it`s a one time thing.I know ferrets can go down fast.I have gotten more info from all of you than most vets.I can only get to town every now and then.I`lll be here tomorrow after 11:00 am.Meeko is on 4mls of prednisolone a day...pretty tough on the tummy, plus he`s got insolinoma so not eating would affect his blood sugars.I know Tressie said not to panic ...well I do .It`s never a good feeling from day to day when you go to check on your little furkid, uncover him from the blankets and hope to God that he`s still breathing.Meeko has beaten the odds according to all the vets...buy I know that won`t last forever.Any help would be greatly appreciated.THANK YOU1 Jewels
