The smell was probably different from what he is used to. Baby food tends to smell strongly.

Sometimes it requires a bit of coaxing to get a furkid to eat his duk soup.

Dip your finger into the soup and put it to his mouth. After a few tries he will start licking it from your finger. Sometimes you have to do this with the entire bowl. However, generally it just takes a couple of finger licks to get him going.

I have a number of ferrets who won't eat their duk soup unless I give them a finger lick first even though they've been eating it twice a day for months.

Think of it as bonding moments ; )
