Hi Amanda,   I'm not at all impressed at the Hill's line, esp for ferrets.  Its loaded with alot of stuff their systems don't need.  I understand their food may help some animals, but I try to avoid it at all cost.

I also have a boy with gi issues, I've tried him on a number of different kibbles.  I can't narrow down what his sensitivity is to.  What I have him on right now, is the canned Evo 95% meats and 8in1 ultimate.  The only thing I can think of that is different with the 8in1 compared to all the other kibbles, is that it is lower in fat (16%) content.  I don't even know if it is the fat content that is affecting my boy's problems, but that's the only difference that jumps out at me.

Just wanted to mention this... its so difficult trying to pin down exactly what causes their issues.

i've looked into hill's prescription diets for my boy who has gi issues. mostly ones like i/d or z/d. my only concern is that they both have a lot of carbs. especially z/d at 40 or so percent. i know places like ferret universe recommends stuff like z/d for ibd. and i wanted to ask has anyone tried either or had good luck with another type of food for sensitive stomach fuzzies?
