Hi Everyone...Just wanted everyone to know Little Meeko went to the rainbow bridge. He was doing extremely well,he was still very very strong.
His afternoon meal and evening meal didn`t go so well...he basically turned his head like a little kid might when you try to feed them something that they don`t like. The same with his medicine.I got enough food and water into him,and his meds.
I started to freak out in the afternoon...I knew this could be it.That evening when Meeks did the same thing I knew for sure it was trouble, so I called ALL my vets.I ask them if it was time,they said to give it a couple of days and make sure he stays well hydrated. Well, little Meeks layed in my lap for a long long time resting peacefully.His breathing was regular,and he was not in detress.After a long long while I thought he would be more comfortable in his bed.(He has a really soft and cushie one)I put the drape around his cage so not to disturb him,and I must have dosed
off.
Something told me to get up,but I could seem to get myself up...but I could see Meeko.It`s kinda hard to explain it`s like he was right in front of my nose.Actually...silly me I`m talking to ferret people....Meeko would always come up and kiss my nose.It was like that only he just stared at me and was all kind of sparkley.Meeko is a silver mitt so he kind of sparkles anyway.It was just him,nothing else in the backround.Well I couldn`t get up until the image faded...then I knew I had to check on Meeko.
I opened the cage said Goodmorning Meeks...and nothing...made his little bird chirp...nothing...uncovered him...I could have swore I saw him breathing...I layed my hand on him and he was warm...thn I whent to pick him up...and thats when I knew that he had passed.I think the image I saw of Meeko was little Meeks saying goodbye.
Thanks to all I have learned a great deal from alol of you.Thank you so much for all of your support,I can`t tell you how much
that meant to my son and I. My son is the one who rescued and named Meeko.
