She was home with me in the cage. It has been pouring rain and I was not feeling well... no real excuse but they simply did not get turned out
Â
She was herself last night and I have not noticed any eating or drinking issues with her aside from the usual she is a tiny girl at about 1/4 of a pound and deaf so she sometimes has trouble chewing the large food and she is really really good at dead ferret sleep
Â
the only thing that I can think of is if she got overheated because everyone was sleeping on top of her in the hammy (why all 6 fur kids have to sleep in the same hammy.....) could they have squashed her somehow?
I checked for injuries but found none and her poop is normal color and consistancy but she pooped on me which is not normal at all.
Â
she seems to just be sleeping no breathing difficulty (sniffles rapid etc)
temp is back to normal and she took the pancake syrup and sugar water fine but would not wake for it kind of licked it up in her sleep?
Â
i have gotten a little duck soup mixed with turky baby food and ferretvite into her and will keep watch feeding every 2 hours for water and 3 for food I have not seen any signs of dehydration (mouth is pink, skin snaps back and eyes look nice and round although closed)
Â
I would swear she was just sleeping but I put her back feet under running water (usually snaps her right awake LOL) and although she jerked the feet away she only cracked an eye open to glare at me which is why I even realized she was not feeling well.
Â
so far I have no clue what is going on and have yet to reach a vet that has any ferret clue or is open my vet actually moved away (which I just found out her office is closed and there is no answer at the number)
Â
I have seperated her from the others and will continue to search for a ferret knowlegable vet and nurse her the best I can so far she is no worse and maybe a bit better as her temp seems where it should be
Â
I have had ferrets act on deaths door one minute and back to normal the next so I will keep hunting a vet and keep close watch

Was she being monitored for the 3 days she was stuck in the cage to make sure she was eating and drinking normally?
