To: ferrethealth@yahoogroups.com
Dear All,
I need your assistance.
I need direction in obtaining an expert opinionated statement, or a published piece, addressing these two resultant maturation phases of conditions of neglect:
1) What, if any, are the residual effects to kits born to jills that were routinely deprived of food and water, and so restricted in the living area, that they breathed in the ammonia and noxious gasses off of their own excrement during the entire gestation.
2) Kit(s) live birthed from such neglected jills; That the nursing jills, and subsequently surviving kits continued to be neglected of routine nourishment, water and a clean environment. Unsuccessful births; why? No age limit here. I thought at first I'd like to ask up to 12 wks, but in thinking through some other breeder rescues that have been done, I want the age of maturation to be unlimited and open for expert comments.
What, and not limited to; organ damage, systemic damage, developmental and behavioral issues are directly attributed to gestational and infantile neglect.
Thank you.
Barb Clay
