Yes, I have to strongly agree. Lupron depots have been used for ages in U.S. ferrets.

BTW, if you find a vet who has Suprelorin implants one of those can work as chemical neutering for about a year for your ferret which is a very good option, but that is even less known by vets who do not know ferrets, so finding a veterinarian who does is essential, and frankly, with a female already in heat you can't wait for the importation to happen so the vet would have to have it in stock.
